Boxers 'n' Briefs: Electoral Collage

For those of you hiding under a rock (or more likely a SPOR), there has been much debate and politicking going on lately in regards to the "Letterboxing President." Now, as far as I can tell, this is not for a President of Letterboxing, but more for a US President who is a Letterboxer - a sort of 3rd Party Candidate, if you will. Or if you won't.

The nominees that I am aware of (and the list seems to fluctuate... no, I will NOT make a pun out of the word "fluctuate"... this is a family friendly blog) are:

MaineKokopellian
Solar Flair
Team New Hampshire
Cyclonic
Nobody
Mr Yuk

At least, those are the ones whose posts have most cluttered... er, I mean, permeated the AQ collective subconscious.

Of course, being the attention-seeking perennial second-banana that I am, I attempted to cash in on this flurry of famousness by offering to run as Solar Flair's VP. Alas, this savvy statesman decided that my entry into the foray on his behalf would produce a marked decline in the average intelligence and maturity of the combined candidacy, and so he decided to forgo my assistance. And so, as it stands now, the kid currently has no Vices.

But enough of this cam-pain. On with the links!

1) Eau de Toilette

2) B is for Boy.

3) A chip off the ol' PZKut.

4) Eine Kleine Nachtboxing

5) And you thought MY ramblings were incoherent...

6) A pigment of her imagination.

7) It's a long way itinerary, it's a long way to go...

8) Who doesn't love a bury-'em enigma?

9) X x X = C

10) Gotta stamp 'em all.

11) Tip tips.

12) Ice Follies

13) Mummy dear rest.

14) A Tisket, A Tasket, the kids just found a... Casket?

15) Goat to the head of the class.

16) Desperately Seeking Summaries

17) Hirsute looked good on her.

18) Urine trouble now!

19) You must remember this, Eclipse is just eclipse...

20) But who could RESIST a chick like that?

21) They need to Seattle their differences.

22) Now THAT'S a useful site!

And, as always, if you were mentioned or linked in this (or any) Boxers'n'Briefs, you are eligible for the truly hideous "B'b'B Patch", made famous by...errrr... well, I'm sure SOMEBODY must have worn one sometime! Just send me an AQ mail, pointing out which blog and post made you famous, and I will send you directions on how to procure this embroidered embarrassment.

Boxers 'n' Briefs: Back In The Twaddle Again

It's been a while, hasn't it? Oooh, so much has happened I hardly know where to begin. But when last we punned, Christmas was upon us. Let's begin there, shall we?

We have a Christmas tradition in our house. On Christmas Eve, the kids get to open one present of their choosing. Normally, the kids (naturally) pick the biggest and least-likely-to-be-underwear present. But THIS year, they were in for a little surprise. I passed out to each of them an identical package, and set down the ground-rules: when I said "go", they were to unwrap their presents as quickly as possible, and the first one to "use" the present wins. They had no idea what I was talking about, or what "using" the present would entail, and were a little flummoxed by the fact that I had a package of my own, just like theirs. But I didn't give them a chance to question it, I just yelled "GO!"

Wrapping paper went flying, and in a few moments the kids were all staring down at their presents: unpackaged, pre-loaded Nerf Ball Guns. It took a few seconds for them to realize what they were supposed to do, but Juli (13) was the first to get the right idea, and turned and popped John (18) right between the eyes. After that, all heck broke loose, and we spent the next 45 minutes in an all-out guns blazing Nerf war extravaganza! And there is nothing like ganging up on Dad to bring the kids together as a team. Of all the wonderful presents and great times we had over Christmas, the Great Nerf War is the one they are all still talking about. Next year, though, I think I'm going to step it up a notch - paintball!

What does that story have to do with AQ, you may ask? Simple: I got the idea from a post by Florida Sunsets. It's amazing what great things come out of this community! Thanks, Florida!

As I am sure you all know, January 1st marked the start of Ryan's Florida escapades. In his absence, Ryan has graciously allowed me to watch over AQ. I started my stewardship quietly, subtly, and almost secretly, with the launching of "Wassa Quest"... though not everyone was behind me on it.

January also brought with it a very mini-meet that was big on laughs - I got to meet the infamous BigRed1. BR1 (aka "the guy who always says 'stay safe'") lowered his standards and raised his elbow with me, and I think San Jose may never be the same.

Also, I am pleased to announce that the Official Winners of the Glorious Boxers'n'Briefs Patches at this year's Mountain Mysteries Gathering were... Shoafsters & Somebunny! So there, you have been mentioned, and are now eligible to have them. How's THAT for putting the cart before the horse?
